2013 NAIA Women?s Cross Country Runner of the Week - No. 3

KANSAS CITY, Mo. Hannah Helker of Oklahoma Baptist has been named the NAIA Women's Cross Country National Runner of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday. Helkerwas chosen for her performance during the week of Sept. 23 – 29 and was selected out of a pool of conference and independent award winners.

Helker, a junior from Edmond, Okla., won the college division of the Oklahoma State Cowboy Jamboree as the Bison outpaced the 18-team field, capturing the team title. Helker covered the 5-kilometer course in 17:42, more than a minute faster than her nearest competitor. No. 6 Oklahoma Baptist ran a combined 1:37:34, more than three minutes faster than second-place finisher Wayland Baptist (Texas).
