KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Hannah Fields of Oklahoma Baptist has been named the NAIA Women's Cross Country National Runner of the Week for the third time this season, the national office announced Wednesday. Fields was chosen for her performance during the week of Sept. 29-Oct. 5 and was selected out of a pool of conference and independent award winners.

Fields earned her second-straight honor with this selection.

Fields, a senior from Edmond, Okla., was third-place overall at the NCAA Division I Arkansas Chile Pepper Classic on Oct. 4 in Fayetteville, Ark. Running on her own during an Oklahoma Baptist bye week, she finished the 375-runner event in 16:24, ahead of NCAA Division I challengers from the likes of Kansas State, Wichita State, Drake, and Baylor.

The sixth edition of the Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week will be announced Oct. 15.
