Fresno Pacific (Calif.) Still Unanimous No. 1 in NAIA Volleyball Ratings

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Fresno Pacific (Calif.) Sunbirds were a unanimous choice for the top spot in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) volleyball ratings, receiving all 14 first place votes for the sixth straight week.

The Sunbirds defeated No. 3 Concordia, 3-0, on the road and have won all 19 matches this season.  Fresno Pacific, the only undefeated team in the NAIA, has won seven straight matches with out losing a game.   

California Baptist remains in the second position with 336 total points after wins against then-No. 18 Vanguard (Calif.) and No. 4 Biola (Calif.).  Concordia (Calif.) stayed at No. 3 with 322 points while Biola remained at No. 4 with 308 points.  Azusa Pacific (Calif.) moved up a spot to No. 5 with 286 points.

No. 14 Dorbt (Iowa), No. 23 Mount Vernon Nazarene (Ohio) and No. 25 Indiana Wesleyan made a debut in the top-25 this week while No. 17 Campbellsville moved back in after dropping out last week.

The next regular season poll will be released on Wednesday, Oct. 17.
