KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) claims the No. 1 ranking for the fourth-consecutive week in the sixth regular-season edition of the NAIA Football Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, the national office announced Monday. The seventh regular-season installment will be released on Oct. 26.

Top 25 Highlights (historical information dates back to 1999)
• The Blue Raiders of Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) claimed 12 of the possible 15 first-place votes and 338 total points to lock down the No. 1 ranking for the fourth time in program history. Lindsey Wilson improved to 6-0 on the year with a 24-19 victory against then-No. 18 Faulkner (Ala.) last Saturday.
• Six-straight wins to open the season is a program-best for the Blue Raiders, who face arguably their toughest test of the year Saturday at No. 8 Reinhardt (Ga.). Kick off is slated for 12 p.m. EDT.
• For the first time this season, no movement occurred among the top 10 teams.
• No. 2 Southern Oregon (2) and No. 3 Morningside (Iowa) (1) also received first-place votes.
• Defending national champion Southern Oregon is attempting to become the first team to win back-to-back national crowns since former member Sioux Falls (S.D.) accomplished the feat in 2008 and 2009.
• Both No. 6 Doane (Neb.) and No. 8 Reinhardt (Ga.) are enjoying top-10 rankings for another week after setting a program record the week before. Last week, the Tigers garnered their highest ranking since resting in the same position on Oct. 16, 2001, while the Eagles claimed their first-ever top-10 billing.
• No. 15 Northwestern (Iowa), No. 16 Benedictine (Kan.) and No. 17 Montana Western all jumped a poll-high five spots this edition.
• No. 18 Carroll (Mont.) dropped a poll-high seven places to its lowest ranking since the 2013 Preseason Poll (No. 18). The Saints, who lost an overtime thriller 28-27 to Frontier Conference rival Southern Oregon last Saturday, own a 3-3 mark on the year. It does not get any easier for Carroll this weekend, as it hosts No. 12 Montana Tech.
• Four new teams joined the Top 25 this edition, which is the most since five newcomers made an appearance in the first regular-season edition on Sept. 14. The freshly ranked programs are No. 22 Campbellsville (Ky.), No. 23 Concordia (Neb.), No. 24 Cumberlands (Ky.) and No. 25 Southeastern (Fla.).
• Southeastern – a representative out of The Sun Conference – is receiving its first-ever Top 25 mention. The Fire are 4-1 in only their second season of intercollegiate varsity football.
• Four teams enter the week with unbeaten records – Lindsey Wilson (6-0), Doane (6-0), No. 7 Saint Francis (Ind.) (7-0) and Reinhardt (7-0).
• Four teams have held the No. 1 ranking this season – Lindsey Wilson, Marian (Ind.), Morningside and Southern Oregon.
• The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) leads all leagues with five programs represented – Morningside, Doane, Northwestern, No. 21 Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.) and No. 23 Concordia (Neb.).
• The GPAC, Mid-States Football Association Mideast League and Mid-South Conference West Division all have multiple teams listed among the top 10.
• The Central States Football League and North Star Athletic Association are the lone conferences without representation in this week’s installment.
• Thirty-eight different teams have been ranked in 2015.
• Carroll owns the most top-billings with 58, followed by former member Sioux Falls (S.D.) (55), Georgetown (Ky.) (25), Morningside (18) and Saint Xavier (Ill.) (14).
• With the 187-straight Top 25 streak of Saint Francis (Ind.) snapped in mid-October last year, Carroll owns the active lead with 187. Morningside (106) and Saint Xavier (96) own the next longest streaks.
• Missouri Valley had its streak of 118-consecutive Top 25 mentions snapped on Sept. 28.
• Morningside holds the longest active streak of top 10 rankings, having been listed among the top 10 teams for 55-straight polls dating back to Sept. 19, 2011.

Poll Methodology
• The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences.
• Each conference is given one rater for every four schools in the league.
• The Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each voter ranks the best teams. A team receives 25 points for each first-place vote, 24 for second-place and so on through the list.
• The highest and lowest ranking for each team (a non-rating is considered a low rating) is removed and the team’s ranking will be recalculated with an additional point added to each team for every ballot (including discounted ballots) that the teams appear on.
• Teams that receive only one point in the ballot are not considered “receiving votes.”
