KANSAS CITY, MO — Effective Oct. 1, 2016, registration fees for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Eligibility Center will increase in line with current industry standards. The change was approved on Aug. 16, by the NAIA Council of Presidents Committee on the Eligibility Center.
On Saturday, October 1, the NAIA Eligibility Center fees will increase to:
· $80 for U.S./Canadian high school students
· $135 for international students
· $125 for U.S./Canadian students who did not enroll full-time at an NAIA school in the first full term following high school graduation
NAIA Eligibility Center fees will increase to offset investments in technology, operational efficiencies and more in-depth training and quality assurance, all of which have resulted in improved customer experience, faster document processing and eligibility decisions.
The NAIA Eligibility Center staff remains focused on the fundamental value incoming NAIA students gain through their interaction with the center: opportunities to participate in high-quality NAIA athletics, with consistent application of NAIA eligibility standards that ensure fair and equitable competition for all participating student-athletes.
