Holy Family College to Close End of Summer
Restriction Waived on Contacting Student-Athletes
Holy Family College (Manitowoc, Wisc.) announced this week it will be closing at the end of the summer term. Holy Family athletics includes: men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s bowling, men’s and women’s cross country/track and field, men’s and women’s soccer, women’s softball, and women’s volleyball.
Due to the closing, the college has waived the restriction on directly contacting their student athletes, which allows NAIA member institutions to contact Holy Family College athletes without providing notification or being contacted by the athlete first. In addition, per the casebook example in Article V, Section G, Item 1, students transferring from Holy Family College to another NAIA member will not have to serve residency.
