Sindersberger's First-Round 64 Breaks Keiser (Fla.) School Record, Earning NAIA Women's Golfer of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Keiser (Fla.) sophomore Sophia Sindersberger broke the Seahawks' single-round scoring record with a first-round 64 (6-under) at the Jupiter Collegiate Invitational, winning the event to earn NAIA Women's Golfer of the Week, Oct. 22.

The Seahawks ran away with the team title, beating Southeastern (Fla.) by 32 shots, and Sindersberger was equally as impressive, finishing the event 8-under par to win by 11.

The second-year player out of Zurich, Switzerland, opened the tournament with birdies on six of her first seven holes, leading wire-to-wire. Her first-round 64 included eight birdies and two bogeys, and in her second-round 69, she didn't make a bogey until her 14th hole, interrupting a run of three-consecutive birdies and four in a five-hole stretch.

She completed her dominant win in the field of 31 players with a four-bogey, three-birdie third round, holding off teammates Herry Ji and Faye Wheatley, in second and third, respectively.

The Seahawks compete in next week's Flagler Fall Slam, Oct. 27-28, to close the fall portion of the 2025-26 season.

NAIA Golfers of the Week are named weekly, on Wednesdays at NAIA.org. This week's represents the final award of the fall season, breaking for the winter before returning March 4 through April 22.
