KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Marcella Hermont and Lara Monteiro of William Carey (Miss.) have been named the NAIA Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week. The pair was selected based on their performances from March 3-9 and were chosen from a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees.

Players of the Week are announced on Tuesdays on naia.org, Instagram, and X throughout the regular season.

NAIA Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week 

Marcella Hermont & Lara Monteiro, William Carey (Miss.) – Position 1

• Won all three of their matches last week at the one's position against Florida Memorial (21-6, 21-7), No. 8 Ave Maria (Fla.) (21-18, 21-10) and St. Thomas (Fla.) (21-4, 21-10)
• The pair improved their season doubles record to 4-1. 
• Aided William Carey to sweep over Florida Memorial and St. Thomas with the third team win coming against No. 8 Ave Maria at 4-1
