MESA, Ariz. - [BOX SCORE] Corban (Ore.) opened day two of the NAIA Beach Volleyball Invitational with a 4-1 win over The Master’s on April 24, using timely three-set victories and a pair of straight-set finishes to secure the dual.

The early momentum swung Corban’s way on Pair 4, which finished first. Erin Scott and Emily Blagg dropped the opening set to Macy Gebhards and Krista Brady, 21-17, but responded with a dominant 21-10 second set before closing out a tight third, 19-17, to put the Warriors on the board. The Master’s answered on Pair 2 in another match that went the distance, as Ashlan VanGronigen and Isabela Rodriguez outlasted Allyson Reid and Gabi Engels, 21-18, 18-21, 16-14, evening the dual at 1-1 and setting up the decisive wave of matches that followed.

Once the remaining three courts started, Corban took control. On Pair 5, Jordan Faircloth and Rebecca Wilber delivered a clean 2-0 win over Kayla Goodwin and Arianna DeRaffaele, 21-17, 21-9, giving Corban a 2-1 edge. Pair 1 followed with Emma Bischoff and Emmi Marks earning a straight-set victory against Zoe Yates and Emma Winter, 21-18, 21-17, pushing the Warriors to 3-1 to clinch the dual. The final point came on Pair 3, where Alexis Adebodun and Cammie Masanda rebounded from a second-set slip to beat Ashlyn Unruh and Addy Brock, 21-18, 15-21, 15-6, sealing the overall result at 4-1.
