2007 NAIA Baseball Super Regionals

OLATHE, Kan. - Five teams earned automatic bids to the NAIA World Series Thursday afternoon, as Bellevue (Neb.), Spring Arbor (Mich.), Walsh (Ohio), Cumbelrand (Tenn.) and Lee (Tenn.) all advanced to Lewiston with Super Regional wins.

 

Lindenwood (Mo.) locked up its bid to Lewiston in game three of the Mid-South Super Region, beating Houston Baptist (Texas) 2-0 after falling to the Huskies 4-1 earlier in the day.

 

In the late game, Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) got out to an early lead, but after the Warriors took a 15-3 advantage through five and a half, Azusa Pacific got home runs from Brice Cutspec and Scott Hodsdon, setting up a ninth-inning rally that fell short in a 15-11 LCSC win.

 

The seven Super Regional winners will advance with an automatic bid to the NAIA World Series in Lewiston, while the top three remaining runner-up seeds will receive at-large bids to the field of 10. Play begins in Lewistion on Friday, May 25 and runs through Friday, June 1.
