2018 NAIA Baseball National Players of the Week ? No. 3

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Max Christoff of Presentation (S.D.) has been named the NAIA Baseball National Player of the Week and Matt Lindsley of York (Neb.) has been chosen as the Pitcher of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday. The duo was selected for their performances from March 26 – April 1 and was picked out of a pool of conference award winners.

Baseball Player of the Week
Max Christoff, Presentation (S.D.)
6-3, Fr., INF/P, Tucson, Ariz.

• Hit six home runs, including a grand slam, to lead the Saints to a four-game sweep of North Star Athletic Association rival Dakota State (S.D.).
• Weekly Stats
   o Six home runs and 15 RBI.
   o .692 batting average (9-for-13).
   o Eight runs scored and two walks.

Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Matt Lindsley, York (Neb.)
6-1, Jr., P, Bakersfield, Calif.

• Pitched a complete-game shutout against then-No. 4 Oklahoma Wesleyan, marking the first time the Eagles had failed to score a run this season.
• Weekly Stats
   o Nine innings pitched and no runs allowed.
   o Three strikeouts and two walks.
   o Three hits allowed.
