2025 NAIA Baseball GoRout Coaches’ Top 25 – FINAL (April 30)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The final edition of the 2025 NAIA Baseball GoRout Coaches Top 25 has arrived, and as it has all spring, LSU Shreveport (La.) is a unanimous No. 1.

Now 47-0, the Pilots own the best start and the longest winning streak in four-year college baseball, and LSUS has been No. 1 in the NAIA baseball rating since the first spring edition on March 3.

Georgia Gwinnett also had a record-breaking week, last week, as infielder Braxton Meguiar scored his 313th career run to break the NAIA career runs record, previously held by former major leaguer Brian Dinkelman, helping the Grizzlies stay No. 2 in the rating at 46-4. GGC also set the NAIA single-season record for stolen bases, as a team.

At No. 3 and No. 4, Tennessee Wesleyan (now No. 3) and Hope International (Calif.) switched places, while Reinhardt (Ga.) remained at No. 5. The rest of the top 10 saw significant shuffle, with Southeastern (Fla.) up two spots to No. 6, while Webber International (Fla.) and Cumberlands (Ky.) each moved down a spot to No. 7 and No. 8. Taylor (Ind.) entered the top 10 at No. 9, and William Carey (Miss.) stayed in the top 10, despite dropping a spot from the last rating.

Three teams entered the top 25 after receiving votes on April 16 – No. 22 Wayland Baptist (Texas), No. 24 British Columbia, and No. 25 Oakland City (Ind.).

Rating Methodology

  • The rating was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the NAIA’s baseball conferences.
  • The Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each rater’s 30-team ballot. A team receives 30 points for each first-place vote, 29 for second-place and so on through the list.
  • The highest and lowest ranking for each team (a non-rating is considered a low rating) is removed, and the team’s ranking will be recalculated with an additional point added to each team for every ballot (including discounted ballots) that the teams appear on.
  • Teams that receive only one point on the ballot are not considered “receiving votes”.
