KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Brock Buckley of Indiana Wesleyan is the NAIA Baseball Pitcher of the Week, and James Jett of Missouri Baptist is the NAIA Baseball Player of the Week. The duo was selected based on their performances from April 7-13, chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees. 

Players of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Tuesdays on naia.org, Instagram and Twitter.

NAIA Baseball Player of the Week

James Jett, Missouri Baptist - SR – OF

• Blasted five home runs and drove in 21 runs as Missouri Baptist went 8-0 on the week.
• Batted .481 (13-of-27) with 14 runs scored.
• Lined three doubles to finish with a 1.148 slugging percentage.
• Stole six bases and posted a .500 on-base percentage.

NAIA Baseball Pitcher of the Week

Brock Buckley, Indiana Wesleyan - Junior - RHP

• Tossed 11 shutout innings in Indiana Wesleyan’s 1-0, 13-inning loss to Mount Vernon Nazarene.  
• Struck out 14 batters and walked one in 11 innings of work.
• Surrendered only three hits.
