Josh Landry of Hope International Lands Second NAIA Baseball Pitcher of the Week Honor
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Josh Landry of Hope International (Calif.) was named NAIA Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season after tying his career high with 13 strikeouts in a complete game, resulting in a 3-1 victory over Benedictine Mesa (Ariz.) last Friday.
Landry allowed three hits and one unearned run and did not issue a single walk. He had at least one strikeout in all seven innings pitched. Landry now owns a streak of 22.0 straight innings without a walk.
The lefty was a second-team All-American last season and was named a preseason All-American heading into this year's campaign.
The Royals are 19-8 on the season and 10-2 in the GSAC. Up next, they have a single-game contest against CSU San Bernardino on Tuesday, followed by a four-game series against Embry-Riddle (Ariz.) over the weekend.
