Six Home Runs Fuels Curcio's NAIA Baseball Player of the Week Honor
KANSAS CITY, Mo.- Will Curcio from Bryan (Tenn.) picked up the NAIA Baseball Player of the Week award after cranking six home runs and recording 14 RBIs while aiding his team to a 5-0 record for the week.
The Lions grabbed two wins over Saint Francis (Ind.), two over Brewton-Parker (Ga.), and one over RV Cumberland (Tenn.) last week. Against the Phoenix, Curcio launched two home runs and drove in five runs.
The sophomore went 9-17 at the plate (.529) and drew five walks, while only striking out twice across the five contests.
Bryan is back on the field for a series against Columbia International (S.C.) on Feb. 27-28.
