St. Ambrose Sets the Pace After Preliminary Round of 2026 Nfinity NAIA Dance National Championship
TOPEKA, Kan. – The 10th Annual Nfinity NAIA Competitive Dance National Championship, hosted by Visit Topeka, featured all 12 teams in the preliminary rounds on Friday, the first day of the event. The Stormont Vail Events Center, in Topeka, Kan., was the site for preliminary round scores, counting as 25 percent of the combined total, leaving the last 75 percent of the score to be calculated from Saturday’s finals performances.

Prelims Performance Highlights
- St. Ambrose leads the team scoring with a preliminary score of 92.98.
- The Figting Bees are making their ninth appearance in the national field and have claimed four Red Banners, which is the most in championship history.
- There were three teams that scored in the 90's following the preliminary round.
- Concordia (Neb.) is making its first appearance in the championship field.
- Viterbo (Wis.) is making its fifth consecutive appearance in the championship.
- Oklahoma City has been in every championship field since 2017, finishing national runner-up twice.
- Midland (Neb.) is the defending national champion and has claimed three Red Banners in its program history.
- Grand View (Iowa) is looking to improve upon its third-place finish from last year.
