Coach Wilcox has worked at BC for the past 34 years, serving the school in many capacities, including residence hall director, head baseball coach, head women's softball coach, golf coach, athletic director, and, most notably, head football coach.
In addition to the vast amount of time and talent he has given the college himself, he has also served as a key fundraiser for the institution. He was able to bring football games back to campus in 1998 after spearheading the fundraising drive to build Raven Stadium - now Larry Wilcox Stadium - the press box with suites and the Amino Center.
In 2004, he made national news when he contributed one year's salary as a gift to complete the Amino Center expansion. Always humble, he had originally requested that this gesture be kept anonymous but was later convinced to let it go public in order to encourage others to make a similar impact on BC.
Coach Wilcox will start preparations for the 2008 season with an overall record of 200-110. Of the five coaches to have earned 200 wins at the NAIA level, he is one of three to accomplish that milestone all at the same school.
