Professional Indoor Team Signs Former Lindenwood QB

ST. CHARLES, Mo. -- The Reno Barons professional indoor football team announced on Nov. 29 that Lindenwood (Mo.) University quarterback Philip Staback will be joining the team in training camp in 2011.
Staback was Lindenwood’s starting quarterback the last two seasons. He completed over 70 percent of his passes for 6,710 yards, and had 70 touchdown passes and a 5:1 touchdown to interception ratio. He also rushed for 328 yards and eight touchdowns. Lindenwood averaged over 50 points a game the last two seasons.
Staback helped Lindenwood to a 22-2 record while he was under center. He led the team to one HAAC Championship, two NAIA Football Championship Series appearances, and a trip to the 2009 NAIA National Championship game. He was second-team all-conference in 2009 and the 2010 HAAC Offensive Player of the Year.
The Reno Barons are a member of the American Indoor Football Association West.
