NEW YORK - Recipients for the 2010 Rimington Award, presented to the most outstanding centers in college football's lower divisions, are:

NCAA FCS
Sean Middleton - Southeast Missouri State University - RS Senior - 6'3", 305 lbs.

NCAA Division II
Brandon Fusco - Slippery Rock University (Pa.) - Senior - 6'5", 305 lbs.

NCAA Division III
Josh Ostrue - University of St. Thomas (Minn.) - Senior - 6'5", 305 lbs.

NAIA
Andy Fjeseth - Carroll College (Mont.) - Senior - 6'2", 282 lbs.

Andy Fjeseth has been a three-year starter for the Saints and during that span, Carroll won three straight Frontier Conference championships and compiled a 40-2 overall mark and a 30-0 league record. Andy was the starting center in the NAIA Football National Championship game in 2008 and 2010, winning the title this past season with a 10-7 victory over defending champion Sioux Falls (S.D.).

During the past season, the Saints´ offensive line allowed only eight sacks in 14 games. Andy helped lead Carroll to the No. 1-ranked scoring and total offense leader in the Frontier Conference. He was a two-time first-team all-conference selection, including a unanimous pick this past season. Andy is the second Carroll College center to be honored with this award. Kyle Baker of Carroll was honored in 2005. Andy was also honored by his teammates, being selected as a co-captain in 2010. Andy is also a three-time Academic All-Frontier Conference selection.

"Andy was a very smart, intelligent football player, a very dominating guy on the field and a class person and man of character off the field," said Carroll offensive line coach Jim Hogan. ?Andy is the second recipient for Carroll College to receive this award. Kyle Baker was the first in 2005. To have two players win that award is just awesome."

"Andy has followed a long and impressive line of centers here at Carroll College for the past 12 years," said Carroll head coach Mike Van Diest. "From Jason Gilliam to Kyle Baker to Bryson Pelc, Andy has been the rock of our offensive line for the past three seasons. He is without a doubt one of the most talented to ever play the position. Andy has demonstrated both the physical and mental toughness that it takes to be the best. We have been blessed to have Andy in our program these past five years."

Whereas the Rimington Trophy is awarded to the most outstanding center in NCAA FBS, the Rimington Award is presented to the premier centers in each of the following divisions: Division FCS, Division II, Division III, and NAIA.

TCU's Jake Kirkpatrick was recently named the 2010 recipient of the Rimington Trophy.
