2018 NAIA Football Players of the Week — Week Eight

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Darius-James Peterson of College of Idaho has been named the NAIA National Football Offensive Player of the Week, Landon Jones of SAGU (Texas) has been named the NAIA National Football Defensive Player of the Week and Mike Iturbe of Saint Xavier (Ill.) has been named the NAIA National Football Special Teams Player of the Week, the national office announced Monday. The three student-athletes were nominated for their performances during the week of October 15 – 21 and were selected out of a pool of conference award winners.


Special Teams Player of the Week

Mike Iturbe, Saint Xavier (Ill.)

  • Set a career-high with a 50-yard field goal on Saturday, Oct. 20
