KANSAS CITY, Mo. -  Jack Prka of Carroll (Mont.) has been named the NAIA Football Offensive Player of the Week. Damon Byrnes-Mitchell of Cumberlands (Ky.) has been named the NAIA Football Defensive Player of the Week. Job Matossian of Cumberlands (Ky.) has been named the NAIA Football Special Teams Player of the Week.  The trio was selected based on their performances from September 11-17 and were chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees. 

Players of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular-season on Mondays on naia.org, Instagram and Twitter.

NAIA Football Offensive Player of the Week

Jack Prka, Carroll (Mont.) - JR - Quarterback

• Engineered a fourth quarter comeback on Saturday, erasing a 20 point deficit and giving No. 10 Carroll a 21-20 win on the road over (RV) Rocky Mountain (Mont.).
• He was 28-of-45 for 407 yards, a new program record, and two touchdowns. 
• Only Carroll quarterback to eclipse 400-plus passing yards in a single game. 

NAIA Football Defensive Player of the Week

Damon Byrnes-Mitchell, Cumberlands (Ky.) - JR - Linebacker

• He led the team with 10 tackles, had two interceptions, and forced a fumble.
• Both interceptions came with two minutes remaining in a one-possession game, the final came in the final seconds to seal the win. 
• The forced fumble came on the goal-line in the first quarter, stopping the Eagles from scoring and setting up the Patriots first touchdown of the game. 

NAIA Football Special Teams Player of the Week

Job Matossian, Cumberlands (Ky.) - SO - Kicker

• Perfect on the year in PAT's. 
• Went 2-for-3 on FG's, including the game winning field goal with 2:07 remaining in the fourth quarter.  
• Punted five times with an average of just under 30 yards pinning the Eagles, who ranked first in the NAIA in avg. punt return yards, inside their own 20 yardline three times.
