Polk Claims Final Defensive Player of the Week, His Second-Consecutive, After Four Picks Against OUAZ
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kylon Polk posted a pick-six among four interceptions on the final week of the regular season for Louisiana Christian, helping the Wildcats past No. 11 OUAZ, 48-13, earning a share of the Sooner Athletic Conference title.
Monday (Nov. 17), he was named the final NAIA Football Defensive Player of the Week for the 2025 season, his second consecutive week winning the award. Polk's eight INTs in the last two weeks gives him 11 for the year, currently more than any player in the NAIA or in any of the four divisions of the NCAA.
The loudest interception of Polk's four picks came at the end of the third quarter, when the freshman from Loureauville, La., intercepted a pass 58 yards from paydirt, returning the interception for a touchdown to give Louisiana Christian a convincing 41-13 lead.
His four interceptions tied his own SAC record, set a week ago against Arkansas Baptist, and he added nine tackles in Saturday's win over the Spirit, second-most in his debut season as a collegiate safety.
LCU ends the season 8-3, posting a 7-1 mark in the Sooner Athletic Conference.
