2024-25 NAIA Men's Basketball Players of the Week - No. 2 (December 10)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Quenton Coleman of Wayland Baptist (Texas) secured NAIA Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week honors. At the same time, Qualen Pettus of Dalton State (Ga.) was named the NAIA Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week. The duo was selected based on their performances from December 2-8 and were chosen from a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unafilliated group nominees. 

Players of the Week are announced on Tuesdays on naia.org, Instagram, and X throughout the regular season.

NAIA Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week

Quenton Coleman, Wayland Baptist (Texas) - SR - Guard

  • Coleman had a week on the court, shooting over 50% in two games with an average of 22 points.
  • During the three-point victory against Oklahoma City, he shot 61.1% from the floor, 71.4% beyond the arc, and tallied 31 points.
  • He was only two assists, and three boards shy of a triple-double last week.

NAIA Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week

Qualen Pettus, Dalton State (Ga.) - JR - Forward

  • Big part in the 88-80 victory at home against Cumberlands (Ky.) grabbing 13 total boards, and three steals.
  • Helped the Roadrunners score 22 points off turnovers with 11 second chance points last week.
