Lights Out Shooting Earns Jalen Langsy of Northwestern (Iowa) Offensive Player of the Week Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Jalen Langsy of Northwestern (Iowa) continues to do Langsy things for the Red Raiders. Over two games last week, he was locked in from deep, shooting 61.1%, to earn the Gared Performance Sports Systems NAIA Men's Basketball Player of the Week honors.

Langsy opened the week with a 41-point performance over 33 minutes played. He was shooting at a high clip from all over the floor against Briar Cliff (Iowa), 70.8% from the floor, 55.6% from deep, and a perfect 2-for-2 at the charity stripe.

He followed with another big game against Hastings (Neb.), where he once again shot well over 50% from anywhere on the floor; 58.8% from the field, 66.7% beyond the arc, and 4-for-4 at the foul line.

Langsy on the week shot lights out 65.9% from the floor, 61.1% from deep, and a perfect 6-for-6 at the foul line across 73 total minutes played. He also added five boards, ten assists, two steals, and one block to his stat line.

The Red Raiders and Langsy travel south for their next Great Plains match-up on Saturday, Jan. 24. NWC will square off against the Warriors of Midland (Neb.) in Fremont, Neb., with a 3:45 p.m. CT tip-off.
