KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Sean High of Central Christian (Kan.) College has been selected as the NAIA Men’s Basketball Division II Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 12-18.

High, a 5-10 senior guard from Chicago, Ill., became the record-holder in single-game scoring at Central Christian. In the first game of the week, a win over Friends (Kan.), Sean hit for 35 points on 11-of-16 shooting. On Friday, he burst out for a school-record 48 points on 12-of-23 shooting as he scored 17 points (on 19 attempts) on free throws. He hit seven treys and added five assists and three rebounds in the effort against No. 15 Ozarks (Mo.). Despite the loss, he broke the previous scoring best of 40 and scored 58 percent of the team’s points. Sean wrapped up the week with 40 points and five rebounds against No. 3 Oklahoma Wesleyan.

For the week, he averaged 41.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists, made 15-of-35 (.429) 3-pointers and shot 52 percent (33-of-63) from the field. He has now scored 10-plus points in 10 straight games and in 11 of 12 games overall this year.

Among NAIA statistical leaders, he is third in the nation in scoring (23.8 ppg) and seventh in 3-pointers made per game (3.5 pg). For more information on the NAIA statistical rankings, click here.
