DeMario Williams Was a Magnite for Ground Balls Over Three Games Last Week Earning Defensive Player of the Week Honors
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - DeMario Williams of Madonna (Mich.) caused havoc for opposing teams last week over the three-game stretch, earning him defensive player of the week honors.
Williams and the Crusaders went 3-0 on the road last week. They picked up wins against Cumberlands (Ky.), Montreat (N.C.), and SCAD Savannah (Ga.), while he collected a staggering 13 ground balls during that stretch. He caused a good amount of chaos in the first of three games last week in Williamsburg, Ky., when he was responsible for four caused turnovers.
Madonna (Mich.) and DeMario are back in action on Wednesday, March 11, when Siena Heights (Mich.) makes a trip to Livonia, Mich., and the MU Soccer and Lacrosse Field for a 1 p.m. faceoff.
