CJ Besuzzi of Benedictine (Kan.) Matches his Career High in Saves Earning Defensive Player of the Week Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - CJ Besuzzi of the Benedictine (Kan.) Ravens tallied just over 55 minutes between the sticks last week while matching his career high in saves and climbing over 300 career saves in the process to earn NAIA Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week Honors.

Besuzzi, a junior goalkeeper, was solid between the crease last week, helping the Ravens to their fourth win in the Heart schedule. Over his 55:02 minutes played, he tallied 20 saves, matching his career high, but the career-setting week doesn't end there for the Aliso Viejo, Calif., native, as he also surpassed 300 career saves in the 22-8 win over Columbia (Mo.).

CJ and Co. are back in action on April 1  for a short road trip over to Fulton, Mo. The Ravens will battle the Owls of William Woods (Mo.) in a 6 p.m. CT faceoff as BC looks to stay perfect on the season.
