Ryan Rundle of Keiser (Fla.) Lifts the Seahawks to the Top of the AAC Landscape with the Regular Season Crown and Offensive Player of the Week Honors
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Ryan Rundle of Keiser (Fla.) lifts the Seahawks to a regular season AAC title after the No. 2-ranked team in the NAIA handles the Tennessee Wesleyan Bulldogs and the Reinhardt (Ga.) Eagles last week. The Senior attackman stuffed his stat sheet in those two games as well with double-digit points, a 76.2 shot on goal percentage, and a handful of ground balls to earn national Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Rundle's week opened with a two-goal and three-assist performance at home against TWU. He fired four of his seven total shots on the cage while picking up three ground balls and causing one turnover.
Two days later, the Wellington, Florida native, turned it up to 10 against No. 5 Reinhardt at home. The senior rattled the cage seven times for his third hat trick of the season on senior day. Rundle also became the all-time leader in points for Keiser men's lacrosse history. His offensive output last week has been a staple all season long, as it marks his sixth game this season with three or more assists.
Ryan's week was nothing short of spectacular, compiling a total of nine goals, six assists, 15 points, five ground balls, two caused turnovers, and sending 16-of-21 shots on frame. On the season, he's also knotted with teammate AJ Badik for the lead in points at 41.
Ryan, AJ, and Co. are back in action on April 18 for the regular-season finale against Webber International (Fla.). The Seahawks and Warriors will face off at 1 p.m. ET from Babson Park, Fla., and the Warrior Turf Field.
