Braeden Williams of Aquinas (Mich.) Powered the Saints to Two Big Wins En Route to Offensive Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Braeden Williams of Aquinas (Mich.) posted a stellar week on the field for the third-ranked Saints, lifting them to a dramatic road win over the seventh-ranked team in the nation, before erupting two days later to topple his previous outing as he earns the honor of NAIA Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week.

In the first game of the week against No. 7 Indiana Tech, the junior was locked in. He scored four goals and assisted on one other in the resume boosting, but narrow 10-9 victory on the road. Firing off 10 total shots in the game, six of them were on the cage, always threatening to put another one away.

Three days later, the gates opened, and the midfielder from Ada, Mich., was on fire. Seven goals, four assists, three ground balls, two caused turnovers, and 10-of-14 shots on frame flying the Saints to a 21-7 win at Michigan-Dearborn.

Williams was locked in for the road games last week, totaling 11 goals, five assists, 16 points, four ground balls, two caused turnovers, 24 shots, and a 66.7 shot on goal percentage.

Braeden and the Saints are back in action on April 11 for another road trip. This time, they will head south to Mishawaka, Ind., as they look to continue their high-octane performances against Bethel (Ind). The Saints and Pilots will get underway with the opening faceoff at 1 p.m.
