Jack Cristini Claims Defensive Player of the Week After Clean Sheet Streak for Cougars
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -Spring Arbor (Mich.) men’s soccer goalkeeper Jack Cristini has been selected as this season’s first NAIA Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. Cristini snags the honor after aiding the Cougars in back-to-back clean sheets last week against St. Francis (Ill.) and Judson (Ill.). The Toronto, Ontario, native totaled eight saves across the two victories, six of which came in the narrow 1-0 win over Judson.
Cristini has opened the 2025 season with four consecutive shutouts, recording 11 saves across 360 minutes of scoreless play.
Spring Arbor heads to the Sunshine State this week with a 4-0 record, opening the trip against No.18 Keiser (Fla.) on Thursday before meeting with (RV) St. Thomas (Fla.) on Saturday.
