David Luque’s Four-Goal Outing Garners Offensive Player of the Week Honors
Kansas City, Mo.- David Luque netted an impressive four goals in two games for Florida National last week, improving the team’s record to 2-0-2 and earning NAIA Offensive Player of the Week honors.
In the first contest against Ave Maria (Fla.), the junior delivered a hat trick in just 37 minutes, powering FNU to a 4-1 victory, the team’s first win of 2025.
Luque struck again on Saturday, netting the game-winner in the 52nd minute to lift FNU past RV Southeastern University (Fla.), 2-1. The decision marked the program’s second victory in six meetings with the Fire.
The Seville, Spain, native has totaled four goals and two assists for 10 points on the season and holds a .538 shot-on-goal percentage.
