Keiser Jumps Atop the Leaderboard After First Day of the 2026 NAIA Men's Swimming and Diving National Championship
Elkhart, Ind. – The 2026 NAIA Men’s Swimming & Diving Championships got underway on Wednesday night as the 200 medley relay and the 800 free relay, along with the men’s three-meter diving, were contested at the Elkhart Aquatic Center. Keiser (Fla.), behind a pair of wins, jumped atop the team leaderboard.
The Seahawks tallied 121 points to hold a commanding lead with five NAIA All-American performances. Keiser began finals with Jet Fuhrmann, Noel de Geus, Isaiah Aleksenko, and Hanno Boeckmann teaming up to win the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:25.42. Keiser added a trio of All-American finishes on three-meter diving, led by national champion Adrian Avila, who scored 367.65 points. The Seahawks closed out the night with a third-place finish in the 800 free relay.
SCAD-Savannah (Ga.) is in second place with 64 points and captured the 800 free national title. Zsombor Paksi, Jan Gastal, Zoltan Tompos, and Levente MozsÁrik rallied to touch the wall in 6:29.22. The Bees opened the night, placing seventh in the 200-medley relay.
William Carey (Miss.) utilized a pair of top-five finishes on the day to sit in third place with 62 points. The Crusaders notched a third-place finish in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:28.48.
Milligan (Tenn.) also garnered a pair of top-five finishes to sit in fourth place with 58 points, while The Masters (Calif.) rounds out the top five with 56 points.
The NAIA Championship will continue on Thursday, March 5, with the second day of competition. Prelims are slated to begin at 9 a.m. EST, and finals will start at 5 p.m. EST.
