KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Pedro De La Riva went undefeated in singles play to earn NAIA Men’s Tennis Player of the Week honors, leading the Fire to a 3-1 team record during the stretch. The lone team loss came against No. 3 Keiser (Fla.), where he secured the Fire’s only point.

Competing at the No. 3 singles and No. 2 doubles positions, De La Riva opened the week with a straight-sets 6-2, 6-2 win in a 4-0 victory over No. 23 SCAD-Atlanta (Ga.), also adding a 6-4 doubles win alongside Gonzalo Fernandez. He followed with a 6-3, 6-1 singles win in a 5-2 team victory over Middle Georgia State.

On the road, he continued his singles success with a 6-4, 6-2 win in a 4-2 victory over No. 21 St. Thomas (Fla.). He closed the week with a 6-1, 6-4 win against Keiser, accounting for the Fire’s only point in the match.

Southeastern men's tennis now sits at 9-3 overall and 2-1 in conference play, and will return to action on March 27 against Ave Maria (Fla.).
