KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Cade VanVleet of Montana Tech has been named the NAIA Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week after delivering a standout performance at the Montana Tech Winter Series No. 2 on February 14, 2026.

A senior from Noxon, Montana, VanVleet headlined the meet with a winning effort in the shot put, recording a season-best mark of 16.91 meters to take first place in a 16-athlete field. The throw not only strengthened his national profile, it also improved his NAIA “A” standard and moved him up to No. 3 in the NAIA this season.

VanVleet also added a runner-up finish in the weight throw. Competing against 14 athletes, he posted a mark of 17.02 meters to place second.

This is the final indoor field athlete of the week award of the season.
