KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Master's (Calif.) opens the 2025 season at No. 1 with six of 13 first-place votes. The Top 5 saw the addition of Saint Xavier (Ill.) and Georgetown (Ky.). Six new teams join the Top 15 from the final regular season rating in 2024: Benedictine Mesa (Ariz.), Westcliff (Calif.), Lawrence Tech (Mich.), Reinhardt (Ga.), Campbellsville (Ky.) and Indiana Tech. 

Rating Methodology:

• The rating was rated by a panel of head coaches. There are two coaches representing each of the conferences/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated groups.
• The Top 15 is determined by a points system based on how each rater rates the best teams. A team receives 20 points for each first-place vote, 19 for second-place, 18 for third-place and so on through the list.
• The highest and lowest ratings for each team (a non-rating is considered a low rating) are removed. The team's rating will be recalculated with an additional point added to each team for every ballot (including discounted ballots) that the team appears on.
• Teams that receive only one point on the ballot are not considered "receiving votes".
