Trace Oswald Boasts .526 Attack Percentage to Earn Attacker of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The NAIA Men’s Volleyball Attacker of the Week honor goes to Trace Oswald of The Master’s (Calif.) after a solid two-match stretch that powered the Mustangs to a pair of GSAC victories. The 6-foot-10 outside hitter from Cypress, California, delivered an average of 5.57 kills per set across seven sets while hitting an efficient .526 for the week.

Oswald opened the week in a straight-set win over OUAZ (Ariz.) on March 6, recording 11 kills on 15 swings with just one error to post a blistering .667 hitting percentage. He added five digs, two assists, an ace and a block as The Master’s controlled the match from start to finish.

He followed that performance with a career night on March 7 against Arizona Christian, helping the Mustangs secure a four-set win behind a new personal best of 28 kills. Oswald averaged 7.00 kills per set in the match and hit .476 on 42 attempts, repeatedly terminating rallies in key moments. His impact extended beyond attacking volume, as he contributed seven digs, an assist, an ace and a block.

In total for the week, Oswald finished with 39 kills on 57 attempts, nine errors, three assists, two service aces, two total blocks and 12 digs.
