Quentin Le Dortz, of Ottawa (Kan.), Takes Men’s Volleyball Setting Award for Feb. 17
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Torcé, France, native Quentin Le Dortz averaged 11.92 assists per set, guiding the Braves to three wins, claiming Feb. 17 recognition as NAIA Setter of the Week.
Le Dortz had 143 assists, seven kills, 27 digs and four blocks running OU’s offense, last week claiming four-set wins over Kansas Wesleyan, UHSP (Mo.), and Missouri Baptist.
In OU’s win over UHSP, Le Dortz broke the Ottawa record for single-match assists in a four-set match, with 53, and finished with a double-double in the Braves’ first-ever win over Missouri Baptist on Valentine’s Day.
Le Dortz recorded double-doubles in the wins over the Eutectics and Spartans, adding two blocks against MBU to match his two-block total from the week’s earlier win over KWU. He finished with 52 assists against the Coyotes.
Ottawa is in action three times this week, including a Tuesday match at No. 3 Park (Mo.), where Le Dortz will meet NAIA Defender of the Week Moises Ortiz. The Braves are back home over the weekend, hosting Clarke (Iowa) Friday, and No. 12 Mount Mercy (Iowa) on Saturday.
The Feb. 17 award is the third set of NAIA Men's Volleyball Player of the Week designations for the 2026 season.
