Quentin Le Dortz Earns Setter of the Week with School Record
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Ottawa’s (Kan.) Quentin Le Dortz, a graduate student setter from Torce, France, delivered a week that showcased both high-end production and steady command of the Braves’ offense, earning NAIA Setter of the Week recognition after four matches that included a marquee win over No. 14 Morningside (Iowa).
Operating Ottawa’s 5–1 system, Le Dortz piled up 167 assists across the week while averaging 12.8 assists per set, consistently putting his hitters in position to score. His impact went beyond distribution, too. He added five kills on 10 total attacks without an error, finishing with a .500 attacking percentage, and contributed on the defensive side with 33 digs and three blocks, along with one service ace.
The highlight of the week came March 3 in a straight-set win over Jamestown, when Le Dortz set a new Ottawa school record for assists in a three-set match with 53. He paired that record-setting performance with 19 digs. Later in the week, he continued to produce at a high level in a 3–0 victory at Morningside, totaling 36 assists while adding three kills on four swings for a .750 hitting percentage, helping Ottawa secure a statement win over a top-15 opponent.
Across the four-match stretch, Le Dortz averaged 2.5 digs per set and 8.25 digs per match, reflecting a complete all-around week from the setter position.
