CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Campbellsville University (Ky.) won all four of its matches and collected the first-ever Mid-South Conference Wrestling Tournament hardware Saturday afternoon on its home mats in the Gosser Gym.

The rest of the field included Cumberland University (Tenn.) (2-1-1), Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) (2-2), University of the Cumberlands (Ky.)(1-2-1) and West Virginia Tech (0-4).

"This is pretty neat," said Campbellsville head wrestling coach Franky James. "To get it here at home is really special for our guys."

Campbellsville's Tommy Pretty, Nick Waldrop and James Linker were undefeated in their four matches in helping the Tigers to the title.

"We bumped Spencer Adams up to 197 and he got a big win for us today," James said. "[Jeremiah Fennel] just keeps on improving. "He lost a one-point match to Cumberland University's B.J. Stewart and Stewart was ranked No. 1 at one time this season.

"We started out a little slow, but we got it together after that," James said. "Our guys have been training really hard because we haven't had a match since the Jan. 15 dual against McKendree (Ill.). We just needed to get out there and compete."
