NAIA Wrestling Coaches? Top 20 Poll ? Postseason
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - After celebrating its second-straight team national championship at the 2013 NAIA Wrestling National Championship, Grand View (Iowa) holds the No. 1 ranking in the postseason edition of the NAIA Wrestling Coaches' Top 20 Poll, the national office announced Monday. The Vikings, who claimed the top spot in 8-of-9 polls this season, racked up 159 points after having eight individuals earn All-America honors.
Southern Oregon maintained the No. 2 ranking for the eighth-consecutive week with 153 points. No. 3 Montana State-Northern and No. 4 Dickinson State (N.D.) shifted positions from the final poll with 84.5 and 78.5 points, respectively. Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) rounds out the top five with 78.5 points.
Five of the 10 weight classes list out new individuals ranked in the No. 1 position: Prescott Garner of Southern Oregon (133), Jimmy Eggemeyer of Southern Oregon (149), Jimmie Schuessler of Grand View (165), Jameel Bryant of Lindsey Wilson (184) and John Sievert of Morningside (Iowa).
No. 11 Simpson (Calif.) and No. 16 (tied) Wayland Baptist (Texas) are the newcomers listed. Simpson, who had two individuals earn All-America honors, is receiving a program-first Top 20 mention. Wayland Baptist was last ranked on Oct. 17.

Notes: (all information dates back to 2000-01 season) There have been 26 teams represented throughout the poll this season (includes preseason poll) ... Grand View's (Iowa) No. 1 ranking is its 13th all-time, which ranks third since 2000-01 ... Former NAIA member Lindenwood (Mo.) boasts the most all-time No. 1 rankings with 39, while former NAIA member Notre Dame (Ohio) is second with 14 ... Nine programs have appeared in the top 20 for at least 20-consecutive editions, led by No. 7 Great Falls' (Mont.) and No. 6 Campbellsville's (Ky.) current run of 63-straight polls, dating back to the 2005-06 season ... No. 3 Montana State-Northern is the only other school with at least 50-straight appearances (55) ... Southern Oregon's Mitchell Lofstedt has been ranked No. 1 at 125 pounds for 18-straight polls ... Lofstedt (125 pounds) and Brock Gutches (174 pounds) of Southern Oregon) have been ranked atop their respective weight class in all nine polls this season ...
