KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Don Griffin of Central Methodist (Mo.) is the NAIA Men’s Wrestler of the Week. The winner was selected based on their performances from January 20-26 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees. 

Wrestlers of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Wednesdays on naia.org, Instagram and X.

NAIA Men’s Wrestler of the Week

Don Griffin, Central Methodist - SR – 157

• Went 6-0 in the 157-pound weight class at the Missouri Valley Invite, recording three major decisions.
• Defeated the No. 25, No. 7, and No. 1 ranked wrestlers in the 157-pound weight class.
• Registered a 10-2 major decision in the semifinal round over No. 7-ranked Elliott Rodgers of Marian (Ind.).
• In the finals, defeated No. 1-ranked E’Ian Heard of Grand View (Iowa) in the championship round.
