EOU's Thomas Ogden Named NAIA Men's Runner of the Week Following Strong Finish at LC State

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Eastern Oregon's Thomas Ogden was the top NAIA finisher at the Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) Invitational, Oct. 11 in Lewiston, Idaho, earning NAIA Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week on an 8K time of 24:24.

Ogden led EOU to a fourth-place team finish, behind Gonzaga, Montana, and Idaho, finishing 12th in a field of 96 runners. He was eight seconds in front of teammate Grady Greenwood, and 37 seconds in front of the Carroll (Mont.) duo of Brycen Gardner and Oliver Morris.

His time ranks eighth in EOU history, and he led the Mountaineers to their seventh-fastest team time, all-time, in the 8K. Eastern finished the race in front of No. 14 Carroll and Lewis-Clark State, which received votes in the last NAIA Cross Country Top 25.

Eastern Oregon has one more regular-season race scheduled for Oct. 18, at the Linfield George Oja Invite, in Independence, Ore.
