Point Loma Nazarene University defeats Saint Gregory's University 1-0 at 2007 NAIA Softball National Championship

DECATUR, Ala. - Paige Powell's homer in the top of the 10th gave Point Loma Nazarene University a 1-0 Pool D victory over Saint Gregory's University Saturday (May 19) afternoon at the 2007 NAIA Softball National Championship at Wilson Morgan Park.

The No. 3 Sea Lions improved to 41-10 overall and to 3-0 in pool play while the No. 10 Cavaliers fell to 35-12 and 1-2. Both teams wrap up pool play later today. Saint Gregory's will face Bellevue University at 3:30 p.m. while PLNU will take on William Penn University at 6 p.m.

Powell broke up the scoreless tie as she took Sharon Bell's 1-2 offering and knocked it over the left-field fence in the top of the 10th. Bell finished the game with 14 strikeouts

K.C. Robertson (16-4) scattered six hits and struck out six to pick up the complete-game win
