This commanding performance was underscored by a combination of effective pitching, consistent hitting, and strategic baserunning.

EOU, coming into the game with a 38-9 record, showcased their prowess early in the second inning. The offensive surge was led by Raygun Klippert, who delivered a crucial three-run triple to left field, bringing home Brylin Fields, Kelly Monaghan, and Madison Olson. Shortly after, Haley Tyree doubled to left center, allowing Klippert to score, extending their lead to 4-0.

The fifth inning saw the Mountaineers extend their lead when Hannah Tyree doubled down the left field line, driving in Madelyn Durham.
