The game began yesterday, the 27th, at 1:30 p.m. ET, and due to severe weather that rolled into the area, the game was halted going into the bottom of the seventh inning as the Grizzlies looked to make something happen.

Both teams remained scoreless through the first five innings, with SOU's pitcher, Ayla Davies, and GGC's pitcher, Annalise Wood (Jarvis), delivering exceptional performances in the circle. Davies was particularly dominant, striking out 12 batters while allowing only three hits over seven innings. Jarvis also held her ground, conceding six hits and striking out four over seven innings.

The breakthrough came in the top of the sixth inning for Southern Oregon. Kennedy Kila emerged as the hero, launching a three-run homer to left center, driving in Kailer Fulton and Faith Moultrie. This pivotal moment gave Southern Oregon the lead it needed, with Kila's home run accounting for all three of the team's runs in the game.
