One Game, One No Hitter, and Seventh for Kira Baker in her Career, As the Wildcats Ace Picks up Pitcher of the Week Honors
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kira Baker of the Baker (Kan.) Wildcats tossed just one game last week, and it was a stellar outing for the senior from Eudora, Kan., as the two-time All-American earns national pitcher of the week honors.
In the one game she tossed in the circle, Baker went the distance, throwing all seven innings. She walked just three batters while striking out six for a perfect 0.00 ERA. The Wildcats ace didn't allow a single hit as she posted a 0.43 WHIP.
Baker and Co. are back in action on Friday, March 6, at the Friends (Kan.) Invite. Baker (Kan.) will take on host Friends at 1:15 p.m. CT, followed by Saint Mary (Kan.) at 3:30 p.m. CT in Wichita, Kan.
