Leighanne Eaton of Science & Arts (Okla.) Picks Player of the Week Honors After a Big Week at the Plate

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Leighanne Eaton of Science & Arts (Okla.) was 9-for-12 at the plate across four games last week, where she posted a .750 batting average and earned NAIA Softball Player of the Week honors.

Eaton scored four runs total and drove in 11 more while only striking out once. Her biggest game of the week was against Texas A&M Texarkana, where she went 3-for-3 with one extra base hit, a home run, and four RBI. In her 13 plate appearances, she recorded a slash of .750/.769/1.167.

Her fielding was impeccable, with 18 putouts and one assist, with no errors recorded.

Eaton and the Drovers are back in the dugout on Friday, Feb. 20, against Grand View (Iowa) and Ottawa (Kan.) from Shawnee, Okla.
