2017 NAIA Women’s Golfer of the Week ? No. 2 (March 29)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kat Kennedy of British Columbia has been named the NAIA National Women’s Golfer of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday. Kennedy was selected based on her performances from March 20 – 26 and was chosen out of a pool of conference, Association of Independent Institutions and unaffiliated group winners.

• Kennedy’s two-round score of 74-67—141 (-3) helped lead the Thunderbirds to a fourth-place team finish as she earned medalist honors at the Battle at Primm in Nipton, Calif.
• Kennedy fired a 74 (+2) in the opening round, four-shots out of the lead, then carded a 67 (-5) to earn the comeback victory.
• Her second-round 67 (-5) tied the British Columbia school record for the lowest-single round score.
• The tournament win is Kennedy’s fourth this season.
