KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Ariana Castro of SCAD Savannah (Ga.) has been named the NAIA Women’s Golfer of the Week. The winner was selected based on their performances from February 26 - March 3 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees. 

Golfers of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Wednesdays on naia.org, Instagram and Twitter.

NAIA Women’s Golfer of the Week

Ariana Castro, SCAD Savannah (Ga.) - GR 

• Castro shot four-under during the three rounds of the Oldfield Intercollegiate tournament
• She claimed the individual title in a field of 77 total golfers and 13 teams 
• Helped lead the Bees to a first-place finish against primarily NCAA DI and DII teams
