2015 NAIA Women?s Soccer National Championship Opening Round Recap
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – (Complete Schedule | Bracket) Fifteen teams punched their ticket to the 2015 NAIA Women’s Soccer National Championship final site with a win or draw today in National Championship Opening Round action. Those programs join host institution Mobile (Ala.) for the remainder of the single-elimination championship from Nov. 30 – Dec. 5 at the Orange Beach Sportsplex in Orange Beach, Ala. This is the eighth year the NAIA has conducted the Opening Round format.

Fourteen of the top 16 seeds will continue their seasons in Orange Beach, including defending national champion Lindsey Wilson (Ky.).
Overall, Opening Round hosts were 13-2-0 on the day and played suffocating defense by recording a combined nine shutouts, including a 6-0 shutout for Westmont (Calif.) against Embry-Riddle (Ariz.)
Two unseeded teams are on their way to the final site: St. Ambrose (Iowa) after a tough game against (15-4-1) Hastings (Neb.). The Fighting Bees punched their ticket to the National Championship with a 3-2 victory. Kansas Wesleyan advances on after tying with Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) at the end of regulation. The Coyotes make their way to Orange Beach after winning in penalty kicks (5-4).
The Golden State Athletic Conference and Southern States Athletic Conference have the most teams representing each conference at the National Championship with three teams each.
